Vintage Fashion Dolls

Here she is, my favorite Barbie, the very modern Twist N Turn Barbie doll. Known as the TNT, this Barbie has rooted eyelashes, a twist and turn waist and bendable legs. She also has a very different face mold from the Ponytail or Bubblecut Barbies and she looks much younger. The Twist & Turn Barbie is the first really mod doll and she really suits all of the fabulous clothing that Mattel was making for Barbie during the late 60s and early 70s.

Originally introduced in 1967 with a straight hair style, the TNT Barbie had two different outfits. For 1967, she wears an orange bikini with a white net coverall. For 1968, she wore a pink two-piece bathing suit with a cute little multi-colored top. She also has a green belt and pink shorts. Of the two, this is my preferred outfit.

there's also a TNT Flip Barbie (introduced in '69) with her hairstyle showing a distinctive flip (sort of like how Marlo Thomas wore here hair on the show That Girl).
