Vintage Barbie Houses
Barbie's had lots of places to call home over the years and some of my favorite Vintage Barbie Houses are the Barbie Dreamhouses from the early 1970s. Barbie had a pretty mod life then and she lived in some really swingin' places.
The first Barbie dreamhouse was made in the 1960s and those early designs were made of vinyl, plastic and sometimes cardboard for structural support. Those houses were easy to fold up and put away when the girls were through playing with them. I remember my own Barbie dreamhouse though was a permanent plastic structure that we left build all the time so Barbie would never be homeless. The all plastic structures were introduced in the 1970s.
